Briana in J. CrewPretty in pink, Briana was shocked when I told her she can actually wear this style to work!
-
Dressed Down StyleAs a rule, when it comes to dressing down a party dress, layering is key. In this case we simply paired this style with a navy cardigan and belt. By adding a summer tote and kitten heels we quickly made this dress look sophisticated and work appropriate.

Jessica in Lela RoseJessica (all the way to the right) loved the cobalt color of this Lela Rose style, but wanted to know if she could wear it in a more casual way. You bet!
-
Bridesmaid Gone BeachyThis style can absolutely be dressed down and even worn to a beach party because of its fabric. The crinkle chiffon is soft and flowey and when paired with flip flops, a straw bag and an orchard hair clip, looks positively pretty!
-
Ilona in Vera WangIlona (second from the left) needed to know if a floor length pink dress can actually be worn again? Absolutely. The key is in the cutting!
-
Short and SweetUnless you have plans on attending a very formal event, a floor length gown is hard to wear. We suggest having your dress shortened! While this style is not Ilona's exact dress, it's a similar style that can be cut down by a tailor and worn to a summer party or less-dressy wedding. Pair with fabulous shoes (not your bridesmaid dyables) and a pretty belt to completely change the look!
-
Meghan in Alfred AngeloMeghan worried that her long yellow style was way too memorable to wear again. Well we completely changed it!
-
Great AlterationsAs we said before, cutting is key! But why stop there? With the extra fabric, have your tailor add halter or spaghetti straps and change your a-line style to a straight one. We also added a tweed jacket and belt for a sophisticated style perfect for a dinner or after work cocktails!
