Filling French Toast

There's nothing better than breakfast in bed. Start your day with this tasty dish!

Challah French Toast:

Recipe from Josh Eden, Executive Chef/Owner at Shorty's.32

Makes approximately 1 loaf

Ingredients:

1/2 quart half & half

5 eggs

3 1/2 tablespoons of powdered sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup Goslings Dark Rum

1 loaf of Challah Bread (available at most bakeries)

Directions:

- Cut Challah bread in one inch slices.

- Mix the additional ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

- Soak the bread thoroughly in the mixture.

- Cook in a hot buttered saute pan until golden brown.

- Serve with maple syrup and seasonal berries.
