Feeling dry and wrinkled? The winter weather can do major damage to your skin. Read on to get our tips on getting your hide soft and smooth again.

During colder months - low temperatures, low humidity and strong winds can rid your skin of its lipid layers which normally prevent dry skin. Heating your home will only make matters worse! Re-hydrating your skin is key. Therefore, hot showers that may feel great when coming in from the cold are a nightmare for your skin! Instead opt for warm showers and moisturize exfoliated skin as soon as you're done. Keep in mind, your face and especially lips are most vulnerable, so pay extra attention when moisturizing these areas. In addition, drink a lot of water and warm tea, which will also help you stay hydrated.

Our beauty host, Amber Milt, swears by her humidifier. She prefers a cold-air model like the Vicks 1-gal. Cool Mist Humidifier for $29.99, which makes the room cool and refreshing. Steam versions may be less expensive and work equally as well. The down side? Humidifiers can be noisy at night and the filters must be cleaned regularly as they can be breeding grounds for bacteria.
